Jet Set Radio on Game Boy Advance came out in 2003, developed by Vicarious Visions and published by THQ. It was part of that wave of early 2000s handheld games trying to capture the feel of bigger console titles. This version is a side-scrolling platformer, a different take on the 3D rollerblading action of the Dreamcast original.

You control a member of the GGs, a graffiti-tagging street gang. Your goal is to claim territory by spraying your tags on designated spots across each level while evading the police. The core mechanics involve skating through urban environments, grinding on rails and wires to maintain speed, and spraying graffiti by holding a button to fill a meter. You explore levels screen by screen, searching for tag points and collecting spray cans to replenish your paint. The pacing is fast, and the police become more aggressive as you progress, making evasion a constant concern. It feels like a hectic race against the clock, balancing the thrill of movement with the tension of being chased.
