Japan Pro Mahjong Tetsuman Advance (j)(mugs) Game

Japan Pro Mahjong Tetsuman Advance is one of those solid GBA mahjong sims that doesn’t mess around—it’s all about the tiles. You start off with the usual setup: four players around a virtual table, that satisfying clack of pieces shuffling, and way too many rules if you’re new to riichi mahjong. But hey, that’s part of the fun.
The AI’s decent—not too brutal, but they’ll absolutely call you out if you make a dumb discard. I lost my first few matches just figuring out when to pon or chi. The interface is clean for a GBA game, though you’ll still squint at those tiny tile designs. No frills, just straight-up mahjong with a bit of that early 2000s charm. If you’re into handheld versions of the game, this one’s a decent time-killer.
