About It's A World Rally (japan)
I picked up It's A World Rally for the Game Boy Color back when it was new. It was published by a company called Starfish, and it fit right in with the other racing titles on the system, offering a portable rally experience without a lot of fuss. It was a straightforward game for its time, one you could just pop in and play.
You control a rally car from a top-down perspective, navigating through a series of stages across different countries. The main goal is to simply finish each course, trying to beat the clock while avoiding obstacles like rocks and other cars. The gameplay is screen by screen; the world scrolls as you drive, and you have to manage your car's limited fuel supply by collecting cans scattered on the track. The stages are generally short, but the handling feels a bit slippery, making some turns tricky to judge. It feels like a quick, challenging drive where every mistake costs you precious time.
