I picked up Isseki Hacchou: Kore 1-pon De 8 Shurui! back when it came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002. It was developed by Amedio and published by Nintendo, a combination that produced a lot of interesting, smaller titles for the handheld. This one fits right into that era of experimental puzzle games that tried to do something different with the hardware, standing apart from the bigger platformers and RPGs.

You control a single character navigating a series of single-screen puzzle rooms. The main goal is to collect eight different types of items scattered throughout the dungeon, but the twist is that you only have one life to do it. Your primary tools are a sword for combat and a bow for hitting switches or enemies from a distance. The gameplay is methodical; you study each room's layout, push blocks to create paths, and eliminate monsters that get in the way, all while avoiding any damage that would send you back to the very beginning.
