Hunter X Hunter - Minna Tomodachi Daisakusen (j)(cezar) Game

Okay, so this is one of those old-school GBA games based on Hunter x Hunter—specifically the 1999 anime era. You get to play as Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, or Killua in this weirdly charming little action-RPG. The combat’s basic but satisfying, with each character having their own moves (Gon’s fishing rod attacks still crack me up).
It’s all in Japanese, but if you’ve seen the show, you’ll recognize the story beats—Hunter Exam stuff, Zoldyck family shenanigans, even a Hisoka boss fight. The pixel art’s surprisingly decent for a licensed game, and the music? Pure early-2000s nostalgia. Not gonna lie, the controls feel a bit stiff now, but it’s got that weird, janky charm older anime games always had.
Definitely more fun if you’re already a fan of the series.
