I picked up Hugo: Bukkazoom! for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004. It was published by ITE Media, and it felt like a solid fit for the GBA's library, a time when portable games were often about quick, colorful adventures. It didn't try to be the biggest game on the system, just a straightforward one you could jump into.

You control Hugo, a little troll, on a quest to rescue his kidnapped family from an evil witch. The game plays out screen by screen; you move through these compact levels, clearing all the monsters from one screen before you can proceed to the next. Your main tools are a simple sword for close combat and a bow for hitting distant enemies and switches. The objective is to explore these dungeons and collect pieces of a magical crown to progress. The pacing is generally brisk, though some screens can get tricky with enemy placement. It feels like a methodical, room-by-room cleanup where you're always pushing forward to see what's next.
