About High School! Kimengumi (japan)
High School! Kimengumi was a Japan only release for the Sega Master System, developed by Sega. It came out during a time when the console was home to many manga and anime adaptations, and this game is based on the popular comedy series of the same name.
You control one of five high school students, each with a unique special move, as you run and jump through side scrolling stages. Your main goal is to rescue your kidnapped friends from rival school gangs. The gameplay involves navigating through urban environments, fighting off other students with punches and kicks, and using your character specific ability to overcome obstacles. You explore the stages screen by screen, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with aggressive enemies and tricky platforming. Playing it feels like a chaotic scramble through a cartoon schoolyard brawl.
