About Hello Kitty No Happy House
I picked up Hello Kitty No Happy House back in 1999 when it came out for the Game Boy Color. It was published by Imagineer, one of those many titles that filled the portable library alongside more famous franchises. The game arrived during the peak of the handheld, a time when you could find almost any character in a digital adventure.
You control Hello Kitty herself, walking through a large, multi-story house. The main goal is to find all the lost baby chicks and return them to their mother hen. You explore the house room by room, a screen by screen process, searching under tables and inside drawers. The house is filled with other Sanrio friends who give you hints or small tasks. It is a slow, methodical game, not difficult but requiring patience to check every corner. The quiet searching makes it feel like a peaceful, solitary chore.
