Heidi - The Game (e)(rising Sun) Game

Okay, so Heidi - The Game on GBA is one of those weird little licensed titles that somehow ended up being kinda charming. You play as Heidi—yes, the girl from the classic Swiss story—running around the Alps, collecting flowers, and helping villagers with simple fetch quests. The graphics are bright and cartoony, and the music’s got that cheerful, slightly repetitive GBA vibe.
At first, I thought it’d be super basic, but there’s actually some sneaky platforming here—jumping over goats (seriously), climbing hills, and avoiding the occasional grumpy grandpa. It’s not gonna blow your mind, but if you’re into cozy, low-stakes adventures, it’s a nice way to kill an afternoon. Just don’t expect deep lore or epic boss fights.
You can play it on emulators pretty easily, though the controls feel a little floaty at times. Still, it’s got that early 2000s handheld charm.
