Heavyweight Champ (europe) Game

Heavyweight Champ on the Sega Master System is one of those early boxing games that somehow feels both clunky and weirdly charming. You pick your fighter—none of them look particularly athletic, more like guys who wandered into a gym by accident—and then it's just you, some basic punches, and a whole lot of awkward footwork.
The controls take a minute to get used to, since you're basically shuffling left and right while throwing slow jabs. But once you get the rhythm, there's something satisfying about landing a lucky uppercut that sends your opponent stumbling. The crowd cheers (well, as much as a tinny 8-bit crowd can cheer), and suddenly you're hooked.
It's not deep, but if you're into retro sports games, it's a fun little time capsule. Just don't expect anything close to realism—these boxers move like they're underwater.
