Man, this GBA version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone takes me back. It’s got that classic top-down RPG feel where you’re running around Hogwarts, collecting Bertie Bott’s beans (weirdly addictive) and learning spells by tracing patterns on the screen—which sounds easy until you’re fumbling with Wingardium Leviosa in the middle of a duel.
The pixel art holds up surprisingly well—Hagrid’s hut looks cozy, the castle corridors feel properly maze-like, and yeah, you do get to face Fluffy. The music’s all chiptune versions of the movie themes, too, which somehow makes sneaking past Filch even more tense. My only gripe? The prefects. They’re everywhere, and getting caught after curfew is way too easy.
If you’ve got a soft spot for early 2000s handheld games, this one’s a nostalgia trip with just enough challenge to keep it interesting.
