Okay, so this GBA version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is way more fun than I expected. You start off wandering the halls of Hogwarts—yeah, they actually squeezed a decent chunk of the castle into this tiny cartridge—and the first thing you’ll notice is how weirdly satisfying it is to flick spells with the D-pad. Wingardium Leviosa actually feels like you’re levitating stuff, which is cool.
It’s not just spell-flinging though. You’re sneaking around Umbridge (ugh), solving little puzzles to unlock secret passages, and even recruiting other students for Dumbledore’s Army. The Room of Requirement looks like a pixelated mess, but somehow it still nails that "hidden magical workshop" vibe. And yeah, you can totally waste time just exploring Hogsmeade instead of doing story stuff—no judgment.
It’s definitely a stripped-down version compared to the console games, but there’s something charming about how they made the magic work on a GBA. Just don’t expect Quidditch. I’m still bitter about that.
