If you grew up with the GBA and Harry Potter, this one hits different. You start off in Diagon Alley buying school supplies—honestly, just seeing the pixel art version of Ollivanders gave me nostalgia chills. The spell-casting feels surprisingly good for a handheld; flick beans at pixies in Lockhart’s class or blast through cobwebs in the Forbidden Forest.

It’s got that classic early-2000s platformer vibe—collect Bertie Bott’s beans (why are the earwax ones always in the worst spots?), solve simple puzzles, and occasionally panic when Peeves shows up to ruin your day. The music’s a banger too—that Hogwarts theme on GBA soundchip? Chef’s kiss.

Not gonna lie, some bits haven’t aged perfectly (looking at you, prefects who love to confiscate beans), but wandering the castle between classes still feels magical. Just don’t expect Quidditch to control like modern games unless you enjoy wrestling with the D-pad.

Worth it for the scene where you duel Malfoy in the girls’ bathroom alone.
