Harry Kid Part Ii : The Secret Chamber Game

Harry Kid Part II: The Secret Chamber is one of those weird little Game Boy Color gems that somehow nails the Harry Potter vibe despite the tiny screen. You start off sneaking around Hogwarts at night—because of course Harry’s breaking rules already—ducking behind tapestries when Filch walks by. The pixel art actually makes the castle feel kinda cozy, in a "I definitely got lost in this corridor three times" way.
The spell-casting is simple but satisfying—you’ll memorize the button combos for Lumos and Flipendo faster than you’d think. And yeah, there’s a ton of those sliding block puzzles GBC games loved, but at least they fit the whole "ancient magical chamber" theme. The best part? Ron’s sprite has his rat Scabbers crawling on his shoulder the whole time. Little details like that make it feel like someone actually read the books before making this.
It’s janky in that very 2000s handheld way, but if you’ve got nostalgia for either Harry Potter or chunky pixels, it’s a solid way to kill an afternoon. Just don’t expect the Basilisk battle to be easy—my thumbs still remember that fight.
