Play Gumby Vs. The Astrobots Online

I picked up Gumby Vs. The Astrobots for the Game Boy Advance back when it came out. It was developed by Saffire and published by Namco, landing on a system already packed with platformers. This one stood out simply because you were playing as Gumby, that green clay character from the old TV shows, which was a pretty unusual sight on the GBA.

You control Gumby through a series of side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to rescue your friends, like Pokey, from the robotic invaders. The gameplay involves a lot of running and jumping across platforms, but Gumby's signature move is his ability to stretch his limbs to punch enemies or grab onto distant ledges. You also spend time searching for special items, like the collectible ABC blocks hidden in each stage. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some of the later levels can get tricky with their enemy placement and timing based jumps. It feels like a solid, simple platformer that captures the character's unique style.
