Guilty Gear X on the GBA? Yeah, it’s actually kind of wild they crammed this much chaos into a tiny cartridge. You’ve got Sol Badguy swinging a sword the size of a fridge, May summoning dolphins mid-combo, and Faust just… being Faust (seriously, what’s up with that guy?). The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and somehow the soundtrack still slaps even through those little GBA speakers.

First match in, you’ll probably mash buttons and accidentally pull off some ridiculous overdrive move—I definitely did. Then you realize there’s actual depth here: Roman cancels, instant kills, all that good GG nonsense. It’s not as smooth as the arcade version, but for a handheld fighter in 2004? Absolute madness. Just try not to rage-quit when Testament traps you in corner hell.

Still holds up if you’re into pixelated chaos and absurd anime fighters.
