So, The Grinch on Game Boy Color—yeah, the one tied to the Jim Carrey movie. It’s a weird little action-adventure thing where you play as the Grinch sneaking around Whoville, stealing presents and causing chaos. The pixel art actually nails Dr. Seuss’s style, with all those wobbly rooftops and oversized decorations. At first, I thought it’d just be a lazy movie tie-in, but there’s some decent platforming here—jumping on chimneys, dodging Whos, and tossing stolen gifts into your sack. The controls are a little stiff, but once you get used to it, there’s something oddly satisfying about ruining Christmas in 8-bit.
Music’s got that jingly holiday vibe, but with a sneaky Grinch twist. Not gonna lie, it’s short, but for a GBC game, it’s got charm. If you ever wanted to be the villain in a Seuss world, this is probably your best shot.
