Gremlins Unleashed is one of those weird little licensed GBC games that somehow slipped out in Europe only. You're basically running around as Gizmo (or one of the other gremlins if you're feeling chaotic) causing mischief in different levels. It's got that classic early 2000s platformer feel - a bit janky, but in a way that's kinda charming once you get used to it.
The sprite work is actually pretty decent for a GBC title, with the gremlins looking properly mischievous. First level throws you right into tearing up some poor guy's kitchen, which feels about right for these little troublemakers. Controls take a minute to get used to - expect to accidentally jump into a few hazards before it clicks.
Not gonna lie, it's no masterpiece, but there's something fun about playing as the gremlins just wrecking everything in sight. The European release means some of the text is translated a bit oddly in places, which just adds to the weird charm.
