About Golf Daisuki! (japan)
Golf Daisuki! came out in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo. It was one of many sports titles on the handheld, a straightforward golf game without the frills of its bigger console cousins. You just picked it up and started swinging.
You control a golfer from an overhead view, moving a cursor to position your shot on the fairway. The main goal is to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible. Two mechanics define the play: a three-click power and accuracy meter for your swings, and the ability to adjust your club and shot direction to account for wind and terrain. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the challenge comes from reading the greens and managing your approach. It feels like a quiet, thoughtful puzzle you solve one stroke at a time.
