Godzilla: Domination! came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by WayForward Technologies. It was one of those fighting games you could take with you, a portable brawler during a time when the GBA library was full of RPGs and platformers. This wasn't a complex story driven game; it was about giant monsters hitting each other, which was exactly what I wanted from a quick session.

You control Godzilla or another kaiju, moving through destructible city arenas to fight other monsters. The main goal is to win each match by depleting your opponent's health bar. You have a standard set of punches, tail swipes, and a special projectile attack, like Godzilla's atomic breath. The arenas are multi tiered, so you can knock enemies through buildings or into subway tunnels, changing the battlefield. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike sharply against certain opponents, especially when they gang up on you in the campaign's later stages. It feels satisfyingly chaotic to level a city while trading blows with another monster.
