Play Go! Go! Beckham! : Adventure On Soccer Island Online

I picked up Go! Go! Beckham!: Adventure On Soccer Island back in 2002 for my Game Boy Advance. It was developed by Denki, a name I recognized from some other quirky titles. This was during that era where you'd find all sorts of oddball games on the GBA, often based on licenses you wouldn't expect. This one, of course, features David Beckham in a role far removed from the real pitch.

You control a small, blocky Beckham as he runs and jumps through a series of themed island levels. The main goal is to explore each area screen by screen, kicking a soccer ball to defeat the strange enemies that pop up. You are constantly collecting golden soccer shoes, which act as the primary currency or key items for progression. The platforming can be a bit slippery, and some of the enemy patterns require precise timing with your kicks to get past without taking damage. It feels like a straightforward, slightly janky arcade platformer from that time, where the charm comes more from its bizarre premise than its polished execution.
