Gensou Suikoden Card Stories (j)(eurasia) Game

Gensou Suikoden Card Stories is that weird little GBA card battler spin-off from the Suikoden universe that never made it West. You’re still recruiting characters and building a team, but now it’s all about slinging cards instead of swords—think of it like a stripped-down Magic: The Gathering with Suikoden’s 108 Stars of Destiny as your deck.
The pixel art’s charming, especially for a GBA game, and seeing familiar faces like Viktor and Flik as cards is a nice touch for fans. The battles are simple at first—just matching attack values—but the elemental affinities and special abilities start mattering way more once you get past the tutorial fights. I remember getting wrecked by some water-based deck early on because I didn’t pay attention to the rock-paper-scissors system.
Biggest downside? No English patch exists (yet), so you’re either playing with a guide or brute-forcing the menus. Still, if you’re into obscure Suikoden stuff or old-school card games, it’s a neat curiosity.
