Gekitou! Car Battler Go! is one of those weird, chaotic GBA games that somehow makes car combat way more fun than it should be. You start off picking a beat-up ride, slapping some weapons on it, and then diving into arena battles where the physics are gloriously janky. Ram someone just right, and they go flying off the screen—half the time, you’re laughing at how ridiculous it gets.
The Japanese version (this one) has a few extra cars and stages you won’t find elsewhere, which is nice if you’ve played the localized version before. Controls take a minute to get used to—drifting feels like sliding on ice—but once it clicks, you’ll be weaving between missiles like some kind of post-apocalyptic taxi driver. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into over-the-top arcadey destruction.
