Gauntlet & Rampart for the Game Boy Advance was a 2005 release from Midway, combining two older arcade games into one portable package. It arrived late in the GBA's life, a time when many developers were repackaging classic titles for the handheld. The compilation never saw a North American release, remaining a Europe only title.

You control one of four fantasy heroes, like a warrior or a wizard, navigating maze like dungeons from an overhead view. Your main goal is to survive each floor, fighting off endless waves of ghosts, grubs, and demons. The core loop involves clearing rooms screen by screen, managing a limited health bar that constantly ticks down, and collecting keys to unlock doors and treasure to buy food. The other half of the game, Rampart, is a castle defense mode where you rebuild walls between cannon volleys. The pacing is relentless; you are always moving, always under pressure from the health clock. It feels like a tense, cooperative scramble against time and monsters.
