Gauntlet on the Sega Master System is basically the arcade classic squeezed onto a cartridge—same frantic dungeon crawling, same "why is everything shooting me?" panic. You pick your hero (I always went with the Valkyrie because axes are cool) and dive into these maze-like levels swarming with ghosts, grunts, and those annoying little things that multiply if you don't kill them fast enough.

The voice lines are burned into my brain—"Warrior is about to die!"—and yeah, it's tough as nails. Health ticks down constantly, so you're scrambling for food drops while dodging traps and getting mobbed from all sides. Played solo, it's brutal but weirdly addictive. With friends? Absolute chaos, in the best way. Just don't expect to beat it without dumping a small fortune in imaginary quarters.

Still holds up if you love that old-school "how is this fair?" difficulty.
