You control a fantasy hero like a warrior or wizard, moving screen by screen through themed dungeons. Your main goal is to defeat the main villain, Garm, by fighting through his minions and collecting the rune stones he has scattered. The core loop involves clearing rooms of enemies, smashing pots and barrels for gold and food to restore health, and managing your keys to unlock doors.
