Alright, so Garfield: The Search for Pooky on the GBA is exactly what it sounds like—a goofy little platformer where you play as the world’s laziest cat on a mission to find his stuffed bear. The first level drops you right into Jon’s house, and yeah, it’s got that classic Garfield vibe: cartoonish sprites, Odie being a nuisance, and lasagna hidden in weird places like it’s some kind of feline treasure hunt.
Controls are simple—jump, punch (because apparently Garfield throws hands now), and roll into a ball to dodge stuff. The levels get progressively weirder, like one where you’re dodging vacuum cleaners in a department store or jumping over Nermal’s smug face. It’s not exactly hard, but some of the platforming can be janky, and the enemy hitboxes are… questionable. Still, if you grew up with the comics or the old cartoon, there’s something weirdly charming about it.
Honestly, it’s a short, silly game—perfect for killing time if you’re into retro platformers or just want to see Garfield suplex a spider for stealing his teddy bear.
