Garfield and His Nine Lives on GBA is exactly what it sounds like—you play as everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving cat, except this time he’s got nine lives to burn through. The controls are a little stiff (classic early 2000s platformer vibes), but there’s something weirdly charming about bouncing between rooftops and dodging Odie’s nonsense. The art style nails the comic’s look, though some levels drag if you’re not into trial-and-error jumps. Honestly, half the fun is watching Garfield’s grumpy animations when he falls into a pit for the fifth time.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you grew up with the comics, it’s a decent nostalgia trip. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—more like a lazy Sunday with a bowl of cereal and old cartoons.
