I picked up Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension for my Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was developed by LEGO Software, which was a familiar name, but this was a different kind of game for them. At the time, the GBA library was full of platformers and action titles, and this one fit right into that mix without much fanfare. It was based on a short-lived TV show, something I didn't know much about, but the box art looked interesting enough to give it a try.

You control Nick Bluetooth, a teenager who can "glow-ject" his limbs, which basically means you punch through walls or extend your arm to grapple across gaps. The main goal is to rescue your friends who are trapped in different dimensions. You move through levels screen by screen, fighting robot drones with simple sword slashes and solving environmental puzzles. A lot of the game involves finding keys to open doors and navigating mazelike areas. The pacing can be slow, and some sections feel repetitive as you backtrack through similar-looking corridors. The combat isn't very deep, and the jumping can feel a bit stiff, which makes some platforming parts more frustrating than challenging. Playing it feels like a straightforward, sometimes clunky adventure from that era.
