I picked up From TV Animation One Piece: Nanatsu Shima no Daihihou back when it came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It was published by Bandai, one of many games from that era trying to capture the spirit of a popular anime on a handheld screen. You get the sense it was made for fans who wanted to take Luffy and his crew on a portable adventure.

You control Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Luffy stretches his arms to attack distant enemies, Zoro slashes with his swords, and Sanji delivers powerful kicks. The main goal is to explore seven islands, find the big treasure, and beat the bosses waiting for you. The game plays out screen by screen; you walk into a new area, fight the pirates or marines that appear, and sometimes solve simple puzzles by hitting switches or using a character's specific move. It is not a particularly difficult game, but some boss fights require you to learn their patterns. Playing it feels like a straightforward, cheerful romp through the early parts of the One Piece story.
