I picked up From TV Animation One Piece: Mezase! King of Belly on the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was a Bandai release, one of many anime tie-ins from that era, and it landed right when the portable was full of these kinds of side-scrolling adventures. You control Luffy, navigating through distinct areas screen by screen, fighting off Marines and other pirates with his stretching Gum-Gum attacks. The game mixes simple platforming with combat; you punch and kick your way through enemies, and you can also find meat to restore health. Progression is straightforward, but some jumps require precise timing, and enemy patterns can get a bit repetitive after a while.
