Frogger Advance: The Great Quest is one of those weird 3D platformer spins on the classic arcade frog formula. You still hop around avoiding traffic, but now there's this whole adventure mode where Frogger (yes, they gave him arms and legs) runs through jungles, mines, and pirate ships collecting gems. The controls feel a little slippery compared to the original, but once you get used to it, there's something oddly charming about watching this determined frog shimmy up vines and swing on ropes.

First ten minutes? You'll be dodging crocodiles in a swamp, figuring out the awkward jump timing, and realizing Frogger makes this hilarious "oof!" noise when he falls off ledges. It's janky in that early 2000s GBA 3D way, but if you grew up with this era of handheld games, that's half the nostalgia.

Honestly, I kept playing just to see what bizarre level they'd throw at Frogger next—turns out he's weirdly good at dodging cannonballs.
