Force 21 on Game Boy Color is one of those rare strategy games that actually works on a handheld. You're commanding futuristic tanks and infantry in bite-sized real-time battles—no turn-based waiting here. The controls take a second to get used to (tiny buttons and all), but once you do, it's weirdly satisfying to micromanage your squads through fog of war and enemy ambushes.
It's a stripped-down version of the PC original, sure, but the core tension is still there: do you rush forward or play it safe with recon? The GBC's limited palette makes everything look like green and brown blobs sometimes, but hey, that’s war. If you’ve got a soft spot for late-90s military RTS vibes, this one’s worth digging up.
