About Fish Files
Fish Files came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Cryo Interactive. It was part of that wave of late-era GBC titles that tried to blend adventure and puzzle solving on the small screen. The game puts you in the role of a journalist investigating a mystery surrounding a missing fisherman.
You control this reporter, moving from screen to screen to explore environments and talk with characters. Your main goal is to solve the central disappearance by finding clues and key items. The gameplay focuses on combining inventory objects to progress and navigating through a series of interconnected locations. The pacing is deliberate, and some puzzles require careful observation. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot through patience and attention.
