Final Fire Pro Wrestling on the GBA is one of those games that looks simple at first—just little pixel wrestlers bouncing around—but man, the depth sneaks up on you. You start by picking from a wild mix of wrestlers (some obvious homages to real-life legends, others totally out there), and within minutes you're trying to time button presses just right to counter a suplex or reverse a submission.

What really hooked me was the way each wrestler feels different—the luchadores are lightning-fast but get wrecked if they miss a dive, while the hulking giants move like tanks but hit like freight trains. And the edit mode? Spent way too many nights tweaking my own ridiculous custom fighter with a tiger mask and a finishing move called "The Microwave" (don’t ask).

It’s got that classic Fire Pro quirkiness—sometimes the AI goes full anime villain and counters everything, sometimes they faceplant trying to climb the ropes. Either way, you’ll be yelling at your GBA by match three. Perfect for quick sessions or losing an entire afternoon to tournament mode.
