About Fightbox (e)(trashman)
FightBox for the Game Boy Advance was a 2004 release from the developer/publisher Rage Software, based on the BBC television show. It arrived during a period when the handheld was flooded with licensed titles and arena combat games, attempting to blend both into a single package.
You control a custom fighter, navigating a series of enclosed 3D arenas viewed from a fixed perspective. Your main objective is to survive waves of enemy creatures and other player-like fighters, using a combination of physical attacks and special moves you unlock. Signature mechanics include collecting power-ups scattered around the arena to enhance your abilities and a capture system where you can temporarily turn defeated enemies to your side. The pacing is relentless, with new threats spawning quickly, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving as you manage multiple attackers at once. It feels like a constant, chaotic scramble for survival where a single mistake can quickly turn the tide against you.
