Fantasy Zone (world) (v1.1) (beta) Game

Fantasy Zone is this weirdly charming little shooter on the Sega Master System where you pilot a pastel-colored spaceship called the Opa-Opa—it kinda looks like a flying egg with wings. Instead of just blasting through levels, you're actually buying weapons and upgrades between stages with the coins you collect from enemies, which gives it this almost arcadey shop system.
The first thing you'll notice is how bright and bouncy everything feels—enemies pop in these ridiculous patterns, and the music has this upbeat, almost carnival-like energy. It's not your typical grim space shooter, that's for sure. The controls take a second to get used to since your ship has momentum, but once it clicks, weaving through bullets while chaining together power-ups feels surprisingly satisfying.
Just don't expect a long campaign—it's an old-school arcade-style game, so you're mostly chasing high scores and trying to survive the later stages where things get properly chaotic. The whole thing has this weird, cheerful vibe that makes it stand out from other shooters of the era.
