Fantasy Zone II is that weird, colorful shoot 'em up where you play as Opa-Opa, this little spaceship that looks like it escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon. The Master System version actually holds up pretty well—bright, chunky sprites, and that same floaty, almost dreamlike movement from the arcade original.

You're still bouncing between planets, blasting enemies and dropping coins to upgrade your weapons (the twin lasers are my go-to). The levels loop until you take out the hidden generators, which keeps things chaotic in the best way. Some of the later stages get brutal, especially if you don’t memorize where those generators hide.

It’s got that classic Sega charm—kinda cute, kinda weird, and way harder than it looks at first glance.
