Fantasy Zone Ii - Opa-opa No Namida (japan) Game

Fantasy Zone II is one of those weird, colorful shooters where you play as Opa-Opa—basically a sentient spaceship with tiny wings and a face. It’s got that classic Sega Master System vibe: bright pastel planets, enemies shaped like walking ice cream cones, and a soundtrack that’s equal parts cheerful and chaotic.
You’re bouncing between floating shops to upgrade weapons while dodging waves of enemies, and honestly, half the fun is just seeing what bizarre power-ups you can grab next. The second game tweaks the formula with new zones and a slightly meaner difficulty curve, but it still feels like the same charmingly odd arcade experience. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
If you’re into retro shooters with personality, this one’s a solid time capsule from 1987.
