Famicom Mini 24 : Hikari Shinwa : Palthena No Kagami Game

Okay, so Famicom Mini 24: Hikari Shinwa is basically the GBA port of the original Kid Icarus—you know, that weirdly tough NES game where you play as Pit before he became a Smash Bros. regular. The controls feel a little stiff at first (it is an 80s game, after all), but once you get used to jumping between platforms and dodging those obnoxious eggplant wizards, it’s weirdly satisfying.
You start off with a dinky little bow, but grabbing power-ups feels great—especially when you finally upgrade to those spread shots. The dungeons are maze-like, and the vertical climbing sections? Brutal. One wrong jump and you’re plummeting back to the start. Still, there’s something about the chiptune music and those blocky sprites that just works. If you’ve got patience for retro jank, this one’s a neat time capsule.
Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—this game will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful.
