Famicom Mini - Vol 26 - Mukashi Hanashi - Shin Onigashima (j)(caravan) Game

This one’s a deep cut—a Japan-only Famicom Mini re-release of an old-school adventure game from the '80s. You play as two siblings, a brother and sister, who get pulled into this wild folktale about demons and curses. It’s all text-heavy (in Japanese, obviously), with these weirdly charming cutscenes where characters pop in and out like a puppet show.
Gameplay’s simple—mostly choosing dialogue options and solving light puzzles—but the vibe is what sells it. The music’s got that classic chiptune eeriness, and the demon designs are surprisingly creepy for an 8-bit game. Not gonna lie, you’ll need a guide if you don’t speak Japanese, but it’s a neat little time capsule if you’re into retro weirdness.
Honestly, half the fun is just seeing how Nintendo used to experiment before everything became so polished.
