F-14 Tomcat (u)(mode7) Game

F-14 Tomcat on the GBA is one of those classic arcade-style flight sims that keeps it simple but satisfying. You're thrown right into the cockpit with basic controls—throttle up, bank left or right, and lock onto enemy jets before blasting them out of the sky. The Mode7-style scaling gives it that old-school pseudo-3D feel, which is impressive for a handheld.
First mission? Straight into a dogfight over the ocean. The targeting takes a second to get used to—you’ve got to keep enemies in your sights long enough for the lock-on—but once you get the rhythm, it’s pure adrenaline. The pixelated explosions never get old.
It’s not super deep, but if you want quick bursts of aerial combat without fuss, this one holds up better than you’d expect for a GBA title.
