Eyeshield 21 - Devilbats Devildays is one of those GBA sports games that flew under the radar, but if you're into the manga or just love chaotic football action, it's a solid pick. You start off as Sena, the scrawny kid with insane speed, running laps around clueless defenders—it nails that underdog vibe from the series.
The gameplay's a mix of arcade-style football and visual novel segments where you chat with teammates between matches. The controls take a second to get used to, especially when you're dodging tackles, but once you pull off your first spin move past a linebacker, it clicks. Plays exactly how you'd expect a portable Eyeshield game to feel—fast, a little janky, but full of personality.
Fair warning: it's Japan-only, so menus are in Japanese, but if you’ve watched the anime or just button-mash through dialogue, you’ll be fine. The pixel art’s clean, and hearing those crunchy GBA sound effects when you break a tackle never gets old.
