Man, the Excellent Dizzy Collection is a nostalgia trip if you grew up with the Sega Master System. It bundles a bunch of those classic Dizzy the Egg platformers—you know, the ones where you roll around as a little egg dude solving puzzles and dodging enemies. The controls take a second to get used to (Dizzy’s momentum is weirdly floaty), but once it clicks, it’s oddly satisfying.

This version’s a prototype, so don’t expect polish—some translations are rough, and there’s the occasional glitch. But if you’re into retro quirks, it’s cool to see how these games were supposed to look before they got finalized. The colors pop way more than the original NES versions, too.

Fair warning: these games are hard. One wrong jump and you’re back to the start of the screen. Still, there’s something charming about how janky and inventive they are.
