Evergirl on the GBA is this weirdly charming little RPG where you're basically a magical girl who also has to dress for the occasion. At first, I thought it was just another cutesy adventure, but the fashion system actually matters—some outfits give you stat boosts or unlock dialogue options, so picking that frilly dress over the battle corset isn't just about looks.
You'll bounce between fighting shadow monsters in turn-based battles and hunting down rare fabrics in towns, which sounds ridiculous but somehow works. The sprite work is surprisingly detailed for a GBA title, especially when your character does this little twirl after changing outfits. Just don't expect deep lore—the story's mostly about helping fairy tailors and collecting enough sequins to upgrade your wand.
It's one of those games that shouldn't be as fun as it is, but here we are.
