Estopolis Densetsu (j)(eurasia) Game

Estopolis Densetsu—or as some might know it, the Japanese version of Lufia: The Legend Returns—is one of those classic GBA RPGs that flew under the radar. It’s got that familiar turn-based combat, a party system where you shuffle characters in and out, and a surprisingly deep story for a handheld game. The pixel art’s charming, though the dungeons can feel a little cramped compared to modern stuff.
First 10 minutes? You’re thrown right into a village under attack, picking your party setup (I went heavy on mages, which… maybe wasn’t the best idea). The music’s got that nostalgic SNES-era vibe, and the random encounters? Yeah, they’re frequent. But if you’re into old-school JRPGs with a grind, this one’s a solid time capsule.
Fun fact: The Eurasia version’s got some weird translation quirks—expect a few head-scratching dialogue moments.
