Elf The Movie (e)(independent) Game

Okay, so Elf: The Movie on GBA is exactly what it sounds like—a game based on that Will Ferrell Christmas movie. It’s one of those licensed tie-ins that feels a little rushed, but hey, if you love Buddy the Elf’s chaotic energy, you might get a kick out of running around as him in pixel form.
You start off in the North Pole, doing mini-games like snowball fights and present wrapping (which is way harder than it should be). Then it jumps to New York, where things get weirder—dodging taxis, eating spaghetti with syrup, you know, classic Buddy stuff. The controls are kinda stiff, but the music’s got that jingle-bell charm, and the sprite work is actually pretty cute.
It’s not gonna win any awards, but if you’re nostalgic for mid-2000s movie games or just want something silly to play in December, it’s got its moments. Just don’t expect deep gameplay—this is pure, simple holiday chaos.
