Elevator Action: Old & New on GBA is one of those games that looks simple at first—just a spy running up and down elevators, right? But then you realize how sneaky it gets. You’re ducking into doors to hide from guards, timing jumps between floors, and trying not to get shot while the elevator music (ironically intense) plays in the background.
The remake keeps the arcade feel but smooths out the controls a bit. I remember thinking the old version was brutal, but this one gives you a fighting chance without losing that tense, "one wrong move and you’re done" vibe. The red enemies are still the worst—they just don’t quit.
If you’ve played the original, it’s a fun throwback with some quality-of-life tweaks. If you haven’t, it’s a solid way to experience why this game was such a hit back in the day. Either way, watch out for those sniper windows.
