About Eggo Mania (e)(rdg)
Eggo Mania came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Altron. It was one of those puzzle games that showed up during the GBA's early years, offering a different kind of challenge compared to the platformers and RPGs that were common then.
You control a cartoon egg, and the main goal changes depending on the mode. In Bomb Mode, you try to destroy your opponent's tower before they destroy yours. In Egg Mania mode, you build a tower block by block, carefully balancing each piece to reach a blimp at the top of the screen. The physics are wobbly; placing a block poorly can make your whole structure lean and collapse. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty comes from managing this instability while racing against time or an opponent. It feels like a tense, precarious balancing act where one wrong move can undo all your progress.
