Earthworm Jim 2 came to the Game Boy Advance in 2002, a port handled by Majesco. It arrived during a time when the GBA library was filling up with action platformers, and this one was a direct translation of the console original. You control Jim, an earthworm in a powerful robotic suit, on a mission to rescue Princess What's-Her-Name from the evil Psy-Crow.

You run, jump, and whip enemies with Jim's own body as a plasma blaster. The main goal is to get through a series of bizarre, themed levels, each with its own set of rules. A few signature mechanics define the game: you use your worm head to swing from hooks like a grappling hook, and in some stages you pilot other vehicles or characters entirely.
